New Qualifications Launch Announcement

Lucelly Consultancy are pleased to announce that we have launched the Level 3 and Level 6 Occupational Health and Safety qualifications.

Lucelly Consultancy were directly involved in supporting the Awarding Body, GQA throughout the development of these qualifications.

These qualifications are suitable for any organisation, industry, or sector, and have both been formally accredited by IOSH. Candidates who successfully complete these qualifications, and meet IOSH’s experience requirements,  will be eligible to apply for Technical and Certified Memberships and use the postnominal TechIOSH and CertIOSH dependant on which level they choose.

Both qualifications provide a strong progression route towards Chartered Membership.

Key Points

Why and how the qualifications were developed

• Market demand showed clear space for an additional Level 3 and 6 qualifications
• To differentiate them from existing Level 3 and 6 qualifications, GQA applied for and achieved: IOSH accreditation.
• To ensure originality and compliance, the content was built from scratch, which is why development of these qualifications took over a year

• Both qualifications have been designed to align directly with IOSH learning outcomes, making accreditation approval straightforward and fully evidence‑based

Who are they suitable for

• Applicable to any business, industry, or sector, covering all 17 GQA sectors.

• Candidates must be 18+ and in a role (or have access to an organisational context) that allows them to generate valid evidence.

Which qualification is right for me?

If you are new to health and safety or more involved in the administration side then the Level 3 is the entry level qualification. However it can be used to support progression to the Level 6 qualification in the future.

The Level 3 is ideal for:

• Site supervisor and Site managers
• Team Managers, Heads of Departments and Directors
• Health and Safety Co-ordinator
• Health and Safety Administrator
• Supervisors or team leaders who are responsible for Health and Safety
• Assistant Health and Safety Advisor
• Junior Health and Safety Officer
• Safety Representative
• Compliance Officer

The Level 6 qualification is ideal for:

Ideal for individuals moving into and/or from an operational H&S role into a strategic one.

Suitable for:

• Experienced H&S practitioners, officers, advisors, managers
• Supervisors or managers with H&S responsibilities
• Site Managers, Project Managers, Operational Managers
• H&S consultants or senior advisors
