Other types of funding

Not a CITB Levy Payer?

If you are not a construction organisation or simply don't want to pay the CITB Levy, there may be alternative funding options available for you to explore. We have highlighted several schemes we are aware of; however, as funding varies by region and is managed locally, we cannot guarantee that these options will be available in your area.

  •  Skills Bootcamps

Skills Bootcamps are a part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee. They are funded training that aligns with local and national demand for skills, ensuring that people have a direct line of sight to a job and support people to get skills for life.

  • Youth Guarantee Trailblazer

Aimed to get more  young people into employment and training.

This may only be able in certain areas of the UK, supported by your local Combined Mayoral Authority or Council.

  • Apprenticeship Levy

Large employers that pay the apprenticeship levy can choose to transfer up to 50% of their levy funds each year to help smaller, growing businesses to pay for their apprenticeship training and assessment.

Contact your local Combined Mayoral Authority or Council for more details.

  • The Adult Skills Fund (ASF)

A government initiative designed to support adult learners in gaining essential skills for employment and personal development, replacing the previous Adult Education Budget (AEB).

  • Warm Home Skills Programme

The Warm Homes Skills programme covers 80% of the course cost on two Retrofit Academy courses for people living or working in England. The Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management and the Level 4 Award in Retrofit Assessment
