    Who it's aimed at This qualification provides a foundation for candidates with existing or developing occupational health and safety responsibilities and supports progression to further occupational health and safety study, professional development and roles involving greater health and safety responsibility. This qualification is applicable to any sector as all business have a duty to manage health and safety. This qualification has been accredited by IOSH and by gaining this qualification, candidates who successfully complete the qualification and meet IOSH’s 1-year experience requirements should be eligible to apply for Technical Membership and use the post-nominal letters TechIOSH. This qualification also supports progression to the Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, CertIOSH and Chartered membership, providing candidates meet the IOSH criteria. Entry Requirements Candidates must be aged 18 or above and must be in a role, or have access to an organisational context, that enables them to generate valid evidence for the qualification. It also supports progression to the Level 6 Occupational Health and Safety Practice (OHSP) Qualification (CertIOSH) and ultimately Chartered membership. Your Level 3 qualification can be used as evidence for your Level 6 OHSP qualification, if completed within 3 years, meaning you streamline the process and cut down the evidence required for your Level 6. This qualification is applicable to any sector as all business have a duty to manage health and safety. This qualification has been accredited by IOSH and by gaining this qualification, candidates who successfully complete the qualification and meet IOSH’s 2-year experience requirements should be eligible to apply for Certified Membership and use the post-nominal letters CertIOSH. This qualification also supports progression to Chartered membership. This is called 'Recognised Prior Learning' (RPL).

We’ll review your existing qualifications, to identify what can be used towards the qualification you are interested in completing. Through a detailed gap analysis, we highlight what you’ve already achieved and what is left to be completed to cover the qualification criteria, ensuring you don’t repeat work you’ve already completed.

If necessary, we will liaise directly with the awarding body to confirm if this can be accepted, giving you a clear, efficient,
and streamlined route to achieving the qualification, and if applicable, the CSCS Card you need.
