Registration Process
A candidate’s registration onto a qualification begins with the completion of a registration form, followed by a pre‑assessment call with an Assessor to confirm suitability for the chosen qualification.
Once suitability is confirmed, the Assessor completes the final section of the registration form and submits it to the Lucelly Consultancy Ltd admin team so that an invoice can be issued for full or part payment of the qualification to the individual or their employer.
Registration with the Awarding Body is only completed once the full or partial invoice has been paid in full.
The registration process includes:
- Conducting the pre‑assessment call
- Obtaining photo ID from the candidate or employer
- Registering the candidate with the Awarding Body based upon the completed registration form and photo ID
- Setting up the candidate’s e‑portfolio
- Allocating an Assessor
- Assessment planning
- Providing qualification guidance documents
- Use of organisational resources
These activities incur costs and cannot be reversed once initiated.
Cancelling a qualification BEFORE registration with the Awarding Body
Candidates or candidate employers are entitled to a full refund only if they notify Lucelly Consultancy Ltd via email that they do not wish to proceed before the registration process has begun.
Cancelling a qualification AFTER registration with the Awarding Body
For candidates who have already been registered and paid in full, a refund may be possible, however, abortive costs will be deducted.
These may include:
- Awarding Body registration fees
- Any administrative or assessment work already completed, such as e‑portfolio setup or evidence assessment.
Costs will be calculated individually and discussed with the candidate or employer. Any remaining balance will then be refunded.
No refund will be issued if the qualification is deemed to be 50% completed.
What other options are available?
We understand that things happen, jobs may change or personal circumstances may dictate candidates don't have the capacity to undertake a qualification at that time.
Therefore we have other options available that may not automatically mean cancelling a qualification is the only option.
We offer flexibly in the following areas:
Changing Optional Units- Candidates may request a change of optional units within their registered qualification if the qualification offers optional units.
Extensions of time- Qualification portfolios must be completed within the timeframe set by the Awarding Body, which typically considers 24 months a reasonable completion period.
Assessment evidence must also remain current; evidence older than 2 years may not be accepted as valid. Candidates wishing to take breaks during their qualification should be mindful of these time constraints. Further guidance can be found in the Access to Fair Assessment and Equality, Diversity, Reasonable Adjustments and Special Considerations Policies.
If a candidate exceeds the timeframe deemed acceptable by the Awarding Body, an extension fee may be charged by them for continued access to the qualification.
This fee is payable by the candidate or their employer. Lucelly Consultancy Ltd will notify the candidate or employer of any costs prior to issuing an invoice.
